Meet the Staff
Staff works directly with the Board, Loan Committee
and Advisory Panel to carry out each of their roles and are well qualified to implement a
revolving loan program in the Biddeford-Saco Area by virtue of the experience of its
management in operating loan funds through CDFI, FAME,HUD/CDBG and USDA/RD.

Mr. Armitage joined the Development Corporation in February
of 1996 and is responsible for the overall management/administration and operation of the
corporation and its staff; including loan program administration, portfolio management,
marketing, business development, strategic planning and implementation, financial and
budget management and grant administration as well as development of new finance programs. Prior to joining the Development Corporation, Mr.
Armitage was the commercial loan officer for the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council
serving Lewiston and Auburn in Androscoggin County, Maine.
He has served as an instructor for the Economic Development Council
of Maine and Grant Management Systems,
given lectures on Economic Development Financing at the Muskie School and participated in
seminars in Biddeford-Saco and York County. Willcurrently serves as Vice President of the York County Community College Foundation board of directors and is the Past-President of the Economic
Development Council of Maine. He also serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's
Community Development Advisory Council, as well as
other local community committees. He has also held various positions with the Retail Banking Department of Casco
Northern Bank, then Bank of Boston.

Mr. Berg joined BSAEDC in August of 2006 and is responsible
for the daily administration and management of the corporation's loan
programs, including loan analysis, loan packaging, portfolio management and
administration, loan servicing. Additional responsibilities include daily
clerical and administrative support activities for the organization as well
as maintaining the financial reporting of the corporation. Prior to joining
the Development Corporation, Mr. Berg was the Manager of a convenience store
in Portland. He was Previously employed as a Bank Examiner with the State
of Maine and worked as a loan processor and accountant with BankNorth Group.

D. O'Brien

Mrs. O'Brien joined
BSAEDC in July of 2004
and is responsible for the daily administration and clerical support
activities for the organization. Prior to joining the Development
Corporation, Mrs. O'Brien was
the Office Administrator for a dental practice in Cape Elizabeth.
She has also held various sales and support
positions in the telecommunications industry.
